Things to consider when studying Beauty Therapy
Before deciding on a Beauty training provider, a considerable amount of research is required. Have you thought about cost, timetables, childcare and meeting your personal and family commitments while you study.
Along with the above factors there are considerations that need to be given careful attention to that you may not have thought of. These include the reputation of the training provider, are they reputable ? Are they registered with the Australia Quality Skills Authority (ASQA)
And can they provide the work experience hours you require. Remember the Diploma of Beauty Therapy has subjects which require up to 72 hours in a beauty salon. There are 25 subjects in the Diploma and they all require practical components . Is the environment you will be spending your time in going to provide you with the best possible training outcome.
What subjects are you completing and of course the cost. Studying Beauty Therapy is a career and lifestyle choice and can be very expensive.
For Queensland students the Diploma is now funded by the higher levels skills funding program. Which means there is no need to enter into a substantial loan of up to $20 thousand dollars.
Then there are the safety aspects. Will you be doing assessments in a crowded room or in a salon environment. Will you learn how to work in a real salon or a simulated room ?
There are many things that need to be considered before enrolling in a Beauty Diploma. Here at Gold Coast Beauty College we cater for all learner needs.
